A Legacy of Leading Family Engagement in K‑12 Schools

Dr. Steve Constantino and Dr. Peggie Constantino have spent their careers helping schools around the world unlock one powerful truth: when educators build strong, trusting relationships with families, students thrive.

Together, they are The Constantino Group — a national consultancy that helps K‑12 schools and districts use relationship-centered leadership to solve real-world challenges such as chronic absenteeism, MTSS implementation, academic gaps, cultural responsiveness, and classroom disruptions.

Their signature philosophy, Engage Every Family: Five Simple Principles, has become one of the most widely used frameworks for family engagement in the nation. Today, their work is helping educators embed meaningful partnerships into the fabric of their school cultures.

Why Relationships Matter

Backed by Research.

Proven in Practice.

At the heart of our work is the Five Simple Principles—a research-backed model that helps school teams engage every family. It’s a scalable framework that drives measurable outcomes in student achievement, attendance, behavior, and staff morale.

Transformative Learning, Lasting Impact

We Help Schools Build a Culture of Connection

At The Constantino Group, we don’t offer one-off strategies or quick fixes. We partner with school leaders to build sustainable systems of relationship-centered practices that improve both culture and achievement.

Our services include:

  • Live-Virtual Cohorts: Interactive learning experiences for school and district teams.
  • On-Site Workshops: Custom-designed professional development that brings our model directly into your buildings.
  • Video-Based Courses: Asynchronous options that support flexible learning and scalable implementation.
  • Train-the-Trainer Programs: Build internal capacity and scale your family engagement strategy district-wide.

Whether you are a teacher, school leader, family engagement specialist, federal programs director or superintendent looking to unify your staff and community, we provide the tools and guidance to turn your vision into action.

Why We Do This Work

Research confirms what educators already know: when families and schools work together, students do better. Yet in too many schools, family engagement remains an afterthought. We’re here to change that.

We believe family engagement is not a “nice to have” — it’s a must-have. It’s a lever for equity, a driver of student success, and a foundation for effective school leadership. Our mission is to help every educator build the confidence and capacity to engage every family, every day.
